JENNIFER LOPEZ When Gregory Nava decided that there were Latina stars overdue to be born in East L.A., and therefore cast Bronx native Senorita Lopez as Maria Sanchez in 'Mi Familia' (1995), he keyed the ignition for 'Money Train', 'Blood and Wine' and 'Selena'. Her culminating role was as the cop from heaven in Steven Soderbergh's 1998 adaptation of Elmore Leonard's 'Out of Sight': Miami naughty, but still Miami nice.
